The Jackson County Historical Society's photographic collection includes an extensive collection of images of people, places, events, plus a special collection of entertainers and personalites from its Strauss-Peyton Collection. Photographs include a young Harry Truman, Fred Astaire, Jean Harlow, Douglas MacArthur, the Marx Brothers and more. Call (816) 252-7454 for details. This category also includes lithographic prints, maps, and atlases.Our reproduction fees provide us the resources we need to continue to provide an environment conducive for their long-term preservation. Black and white glossy or matte prints intended for personal use are (8 x 10 - $25), (11 x 14 - $30), (16 x 20 - $40)and (20 x 24 - $50). Images from the Straus-Peyton Collection are generally 8 x 10 and retail for $40). Electronic scans are $25 each.
There is an additional $50 charge per image if the photograph is intended for commercial or exhibition use. Credit must be given to the "Jackson County (Mo.) Historical Society Archives." [NOTE: MOBILE BROWSERS WILL NOT WORK ON OUR ONLINE SYSTEM! Sorry for the inconvenience.]
