Son of A Bandit; Son of A Bandit; Jesse James & the Leeds Gang Re-Trial
Son of A Bandit: Son of A Bandit: Jesse James & the Leeds Gang Re-Trial. Jackson County Historical Society and its partners stage a living history program fundraiser that highlights the 1898 story that starts with a train robbery in the Leeds district of south Kansas City. Who is automatically arrested for such a deed? None other than the son of the notorious bandit, Jesse James, who happened to be working in a respectable sundry shop selling cigars and tobacco products inside the Jackson County Courthouse in downtown Kansas City!
Learn more about the train robbery, the arrest and indictment against the Son of a Bandit, Jesse James, Jr., at one of two re-enactments open to the public June 9 and 10, 2012.
